"Harvesting Life Stories through Family
History Interviews"
Wednesday, Sept. 27, 4:00 P.M.
Audrey Galex and Sarah Ghitis are the founders of Roots and
Wings, a company that specializes in the collection of family
histories. They have also worked to train children how to produce
their families' oral history. Their talk will demonstrate their
methods of doing oral history and discuss what they have learned
about the effects on families of doing oral histories. This
presentation is part of the MARIAL Center's efforts to bring
together scholars and practitioners on issues of ritual, narrative,
and myth in American life.
